                                                           Grey Beaver
Grey Beaver is a native american who takes White Fang, the little wolf cub, as his pet.Grey Beaver is strict, harsh, loving, and protective. He protects White Fang from other native americans when they start to though rocks at him or want to kill him when he does something bad. Grey Beaver loves White Fang because he protects him and tries to keep him in the right direction. he is harsh because when he hits White Fang for doing something bad he hits him hard and multiple times to make him not do it again. Grey Beaver is strict because he wants to keep White Fang in one strait path and doesn't want him to wander off.
I like Grey Beaver because he protects White Fang from the other native americans.  If Grey Beaver wasn't protecting White Fang then White Fang might have a really hard time to survive.  He might even get killed.  I like Grey Beaver because he sticks with White Fang after he wonders off in the wild.  Grey Beaver could have just abandoned him but he didn't.
I dislike Grey Beaver because I think he's too strict and harsh.

Reading log Reflection 4/20/12

I can connect the setting of the book White Fang to the book Jason's Gold. They both take place in North America in Canada and Alaska. I found this connection because the scenery of White Fang is cold, and snowy, which made me think about Jason's Gold, which has about the same circumstances.
I can connect the author of the book White Fang, Jack London, to the character Jack London in the book Jason's Gold. I found this connection because when I started thinking about Jason's Gold I remembered about the character Jack London.
I can connect White Fang the wolf to Jason the character in the book Jason's Gold because they both have to survive in harsh wild climates without a mom or dad to help them. I found this connection because I was thinking of how White Fang would survive and so I remembered that Jason had to survive too.
White Fang and Jason's Gold are very similar because they both take place near each other, they have the same theme survival, and they are both great books.
